Coventry Music Museum is celebrating '35 years of a perfect pop song' with an exhibition dedicated to The Primitives and their song Crash.

The Coventry-born indie band formed in 1984 and made quite a name for themselves on the music scene before striking gold with hit single Crash in 1988. The song hit number 5 in the UK charts and has since been covered more than 30 times - including a 1995 remix which featured in hit film Dumb and Dumber starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels.

Crash will feature a selection of rare items dating back to the band's early days. Visitors will also be able to have-a go at singing the hit song in the venue's Tracy Tracy Karaoke Lounge. Photo opps are also  available.

The award-winning Coventry Music Museum celebrates Coventry & Warwickshire music in all its many fantastic forms. From the Ska powered 2-Tone movement of the Specials and The Selecter, to Hazel O’Connor, King and The Enemy and so much more. Visitors to the museum can also learn about Electronic music pioneer Delia Derbyshire and immerse themselves in the Bhangra, Rap and Grime scenes of the city; can be a Three Minute Hero, vote on the museum's Wall of Hits and sit in the actual car the Specials used in their groundbreaking Ghost Town video.
