Coventry's Albany Theatre has announced details of its Christmas shows for 2024.

First up is the return of popular children's show Santa's Christmas Cracker (Saturday 30 November). Perfect for audiences aged two to eight years, the 45-minute interactive show features festive characters, songs & activities aplenty, with every child receiving a gift from Santa.

Next up - and from the team behind previous festive triumphs A Christmas Carol and Oliver Twist, is a staging of children's classic Alice in Wonderland (Saturday 7 to Sunday 29 December).

Based on Lewis Carroll's iconic children's book, The Albany's staging promises lots of fun, laughter and magic as audiences (young and not-so-young) join Alice and the White Rabbit for an extraordinary adventure down the rabbit hole.

Last but not least, the venue will host a community staging of Sleeping Beauty (Saturday 4 to Sunday 12 January). 

For those not familiar with the story of Sleeping Beauty, the wicked fairy Carabosse is furious when she is not invited to the christening of the beautiful Princess Rose. Vowing revenge on the kingdom she curses Rose with a terrible fate. On her 16th birthday she will prick her finger on a spinning wheel and die. However, as with all fairytales someone will come to the rescue to ensure a happy ending...
