School’s out, the sun is shining, and the stunning grounds of Compton Verney are calling.

This summer, get ready for five unforgettable Summer Weekenders where play takes centre stage. With a mix of free drop-in and paid ticketed events, there’s something for everyone. From giant inflatable circus skills that ignite creativity to a rave with Perry from Pendulum, these family-friendly events are designed to captivate visitors of all ages.

There are a mixture of free and paid ticket events, drop-in sessions and planned workshops, and everything from Zoolab (Wed 14 - Thurs 15 August) to Bubble Heaven!

 

The first weekend (Fri 26 - Sun 28 July) features the giant inflatable structures of Ringworld, creating a unique space to play for children aged 0-18. Those who want to cool off might seek out Kate's Storytree in the shade, or experience Bubble Heaven - bringing a party atmosphere and filling the sky with magical bubbles!

Weekend Two is a Woodland Tribe takeover, from Fri 2 - Sun 4 August. Children can unleash their inner builders, joining the masters of constructive play. Imagination can run riot, as the child-built structure takes shape - and whatever gets built will become a creative base and inspiration for family activities for the rest of the summer!

The following weekend (Fri 9 - Sun 11 August), Compton verney opens its doors After Hours, and gets a visit from Flying Seagulls Circus! A unique mix of showmanship, creativity and family fun which will keep everyone entertained. This circus is traditional with a twist - catering for all ages from pram to Nan.

The August Bank Holiday Weekend features a Taiko Drumming Workshop - Led by the nationally renowned performers and coaches of Taiko West Drumming Institution, this session welcomes participants of all abilities. There's also a visit from Autin Dance Puppet Theatre with Out of the Blue - An inspirational tale told through dance and puppetry.

The summer fun rounds off with a bang, courtesy of Big Fish Little Fish on Sat 31 Aug. It's a Family Rave -come and dance in the grounds and join the award-winning fun featuring superstar headline DJ Perry from world renowned drum and bass legend Pendulum.

 

That's not all - there are weekday activities throughout the school holidays, so however you want to make the most of the long summer, Compton Verney has something in store.
