Families in Coventry will be spoilt for choice this Easter with a packed programme of activities, events and days out to keep little ones entertained throughout the school holidays.
Visit Coventry has shared its top recommendations for ways families can make the most of the Easter break - whether that’s hunting for eggs, a visit to the theatre or enjoying the city’s outdoor spaces.

Whether families are looking for a low-cost day out, exciting entertainment or something a little different, there’s plenty to enjoy across the city throughout the school holidays.
“We launched our new website recently to help visitors and locals to discover the city’s attractions, venues and events. This Easter will be the perfect chance to explore the new platform and find out more about everything to do in the city.”
The Easter Bunny will be making several appearances across the city, including at the Skydome Arena’s Family Fun Day on Tuesday 15 April, which promises spring-inspired entertainment and activities for children.
Families are invited to the Lunt Roman Fort this Easter (Tues 15 - Thurs 17 and Tues 22 - Thurs 24) to take part in a huge Easter artwork based on the thrilling chariot races of the Circus Maximus.
Visitors will also be able to explore the unique reconstructed fort - climb the Eastern gateway, explore the granary building and discover the only known Gyrus inside a Roman fort.
On Easter Sunday, city centre venue The Castle Grounds Pub will host an egg hunt complete with a children’s disco, karaoke, and bonnet making.
Theatre lovers can enjoy a double dose of Julia Donaldson favourites, with The Baddies taking to the stage at The Albany Theatre from Wed 9 - Sun 13 April, and Room on the Broom arriving at The Belgrade Theatre from Wed 23 - Sat 26 April. Both productions bring beloved children’s stories to life with music, puppetry and plenty of laughs.
Families can also enjoy a free screening of Trolls at Coventry Cathedralon Sat 12 April, complete with themed craft activities. For older children, Boom Battle Bar is offering a Family Package from Mon 14 - Fri 25 April (weekdays only), allowing groups to choose three of its top games - such as shuffleboard, karaoke or Crazier Golf - for an action-packed few hours.
Another big draw this Easter is Dinosaur World Live, running at the Belgrade Theatrefrom Tues 22 - Thurs 24 April. Featuring life-sized, realistic dinosaurs including a T-Rex, Triceratops and Giraffatitan, the show also offers a special meet-and-greet after each performance.
On Thurs 24 April, the Cathedral will host Let’s Play!, a free drop-in event filled with indoor games and crafts suitable for all ages.
For parents seeking a more relaxed day out, Blabers Hall Wine Estateis hosting an Easter Open Day and Craft Market on Fri 18 April. With live music, food stalls, local crafts and a glass of wine or two, it’s a chance to unwind while children and dogs (on leads) are welcomed along for the fun.
There are plenty of ways to get active this Easter too. Hatton Adventure Worldwill hold its Spring Spectacular from Sat 12 - Sun 27 April, featuring new arrivals in the animal marquee, baby animal handling, daily shows and farm-themed activities.
Coombe Abbey Hotelis also offering a special Easter Family Package from Mon 14 - Fri 25 April, which includes an overnight stay at the historic hotel, a full English breakfast, and tickets for either Go Ape or The Wave waterpark, plus entry to St Mary’s Guildhall and Hermit’s Hollow for younger visitors.
