The newly opened Zog Playland is a welcome addition to international tourist destination Warwick Castle - a fantastic, family-friendly fun playground inspired by the popular books written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler.
Included as part of the Castle's general admission pricing, the Zog Playland is huge, sprawling and full of adventure. My son and his friend, both aged four, were in their absolute element. They we excited by the array of Zog inspired slides, the mini castle-esque back drop and tunnels and could have stayed and played for hours. A mini café based in the play area is perfect for any exhausted parent and carer to take a break and there are also zip wires for older children to have fun. My only gripe (and it's a small one) is that there is an absence of baby changing or toilet facilities on the actual play area site. Any future inclusion of such would be welcome and make it a bit easier for parents / carers.
Warwick Castle's rights to Donaldson’s Zog franchise is an added bonus to an already great family day out. I believe the popular visitor attraction is gearing up to offer more Zog family-friendly activities this summer and over the next few years which gets a huge thumbs-up in my son’s book.
