Young creatives in Wolverhampton have an exciting new opportunity to develop their skills and explore their passions, thanks to the launch of the Art & Design Saturday Club at Newhampton Arts Centre.
This unique programme invites young people to dive into the world of visual arts and design, connect with others, and experience professional-level opportunities, all for free.
The Art & Design Saturday Club is designed to inspire creativity and provide a supportive space for young people to grow their artistic talents. The programme offers:
Hands-On Activities: Weekly sessions where you can experiment with different techniques and projects.
Industry Connections: Meet and learn from inspiring artists and professionals.
Cultural Visits: Trips to galleries and cultural landmarks to spark your imagination.
National Events: Club members will take part in exciting nationwide events, including:Masterclasses with industry leaders.
TheSummer Show, where Saturday Clubs from across the UK exhibit their work in a public exhibition.
The club will run on Saturday mornings at Newhampton Arts Centre, 10:30 am - 1:00 pm, from late January 2025 to June 2025. Lunch and materials are provided free of charge, making it accessible to all young people in the area.
To help you decide if the Saturday Club is for you, two taster sessions are being held on Saturday, 11 January 2025 (11:00 am - 12:30 pm) and Saturday 18 January 2025 (12:30 pm - 2:00 pm). Parents are welcome to attend the taster sessions to learn more about the programme.
