Residents and foodies are invited to have their taste buds tickled at the weekend-long Sandwell Food Festival this July.

Delicious food and fantastic entertainment are coming to Lightwoods Park, B67 5DP, on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 July. The event is open from 10am until 4pm each day.

The festival will feature tasty treats from around the world, with vendors such as Bear Eats, Panjabi Rasoi and Island Bar and Grill serving up cuisine from Sri Lankan and the Caribbean, vegan treats, and, of course, desserts.

For those looking to grab and go, the stall holders will be on hand with takeaway including local artisan bread, chutneys and jams, and Bearwood favourite Betty Bakes.

Budding chefs looking for some new recipes can go to the cookery stage to watch live demonstrations including vegan fried ‘chicken’ and Sri Lanka specialty kottu.

To cap it all, family entertainment including face painting and craft activities will run all weekend and, for anyone looking to just soak up the atmosphere and listen to some great music, local performers will be performing on the bandstand.
