This Easter, egg-citing things are hatching at Merry Hill, as the shopping destination unveils the UK’s largest Easter egg - the centrepiece of a fun-filled programme of interactive family events running throughout the Easter holidays.

Standing at an impressive five metres tall, the vibrant egg will be revealed during a special launch weekend on Saturday 12 April, kicking off eight-days of activity packed with techni-colour performances, creativity, and seasonal surprises.

Families are invited to join the celebration with a host of egg-stra special events, including live bunny performances on Saturday (11am - 4pm) and Sunday (11am - 5pm).

Visitors can also unleash their creativity with custom-designed stickers handed out by the bunny performers, encouraging families to leave their creative mark on the giant egg itself, creating a unique community piece of art over the eight-days.

The friendly bunnies will also be handing secret surprise gifts, including £100 gift cards to one lucky visitor at random per day, spreading a little extra Easter cheer between the 12 - 19 April.

The centre will come to life with a colourful art trail, featuring nine egg designs from the winners of Merry Hill’s Easter egg design competition, which saw over 300 young, budding artists enter. Using specially designed maps, visitors can track down the clues as they go to solve a puzzle and receive a surprise Easter treat.

Alongside the egg-citing Easter activities and decoration, Merry Hill is also recognising kindness with its first Good Egg award.

From 1 - 19 April, Merry Hill is calling on the people across the West Midlands to nominate someone who embodies the spirit of kindness and generosity. One deserving ‘Good Egg’ will be selected for the chance to win a £1,000 Merry Hill gift card.

Full details on how to submit your entry will be available on the Merry Hill website and social media channels ahead of then.
