The facility was created in 1962 with money left over from a village fund-raising effort to support soldiers returning from the Second World War. Today the hall is the focal point of the village and is used by many local groups.

The Wolverley Memorial Hall, Worcestershire is a privately funded community facility that is available to hire. It is run by a small group of local volunteers as a charity. The monies received from hiring out the hall goes back into the running and upkeep of the building and surrounding land.

Many fund-raising events are held each year to maintain the Hall and a separate subcommittee called the ‘Wolverley Memorial Project‘ has been created to manage the funding of future development.
