The world’s longest-running literature festival celebrates 75 Years.

Cheltenham Literature Festival is leading the way in celebrating the written and spoken word, presenting the best new voices in fiction and poetry alongside literary greats and high-profile speakers. The Festival will be celebrating its 75th Anniversary Friday 4 - Sunday 13 October 2024.

The festival takes place in numerous venues around Cheltenham - from the Town Hall and Everyman Theatre, to the Wilson Gallery, Parabola Arts Centre, and more.

Highlights of Cheltenham Literary Festival include an event with the legendary Judi Dench, in discussion with Brendan O'Hea to discuss her book, Shakespeare: The Man Who Pays the Rent. Jordan Stephens also takes to the stage - the musician, actor and presenter is best known for being one half of hip hop duo, Rizzle Kicks. In conversation with Hana Walker-Brown, Jordan opens up about being diagnosed with ADHD twice, navigating the pressures of fame and what it means to be a modern man.

Miriam Margolyes takes us inside both her head and her heart, in conversation with journalist and broadcaster Caroline Frost, in celebration of her book Oh, Miriam! Rebecca F. Kuang, the acclaimed author of Babel and The Poppy War trilogy, also makes her debut at Cheltenham. Rebecca is a rising star in contemporary literature, joining Abigail Bergstrom to discuss her latest sensation, Yellowface, a novel that delves into the literary world, exploring themes of identity and cultural appropriation.

At the heart of the Festival, enjoy a selection of hot and cold food, pastries, cakes and more in the Feast Cafe and Festival Bar in Montpellier Gardens.
