Visit Hanbury Hall, a Worcestershire visitor attraction near Droitwich Spa this May half-term. With a nature trail, storytelling, activities inside the Hall, and walks in the great outdoors, there is plenty for everybody to enjoy.

Explore the gardens with the Flora, Fauna & Folklore Trail which runs every day from Saturday 25 May – Sunday 2 June. Pick up a trail booklet and pencil from reception (£2 per trail) and complete nature-inspired activities as you discover the wonderful flora and fauna that live at Hanbury Hall. Find all the animal footprints, spot the beautiful flowers growing in the garden, and complete the animal wordsearch.

Join local author Ruth Goddard in the second-hand bookshop for a series of storytelling sessions on Saturday 25, Sunday 26, and Wednesday 29 May, and Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June. Hear Ruth read her book ‘Blossom and the Bees’ and other children’s stories as you relax on bean bags in the courtyard next to the second-hand bookshop. Ruth’s books will also be available to purchase, along with a whole range of pre-loved books on sale in the bookshop.

Inside the Hall, discover 300 years of history and admire the magnificent wall and ceiling paintings. Explore a new display about animals at Hanbury Hall, which includes rarely seen collection items, and see if you can spot the cute, knitted bees hidden in the historic rooms.

Enjoy late spring throughout the gardens, from dazzling delphiniums to pretty peonies. Find a sunny spot on the lawn to relax over a picnic with family and friends. Explore the historic parkland on a walk and admire the beautiful Worcestershire countryside. Discover routes that lead you through the remains of an ancient forest, and past impressive early eighteenth-century design features.

After exploring the outdoors, refuel in the Courtyard Kitchen restaurant or dog-friendly Stables Café with a range of tasty meals, kid’s meals, ice creams, and hot and cold drinks.
