Join Severn Arts on Saturday June 29th, as they present the Summer Festival, a vibrant celebration of music and art. Experience the transformation of the Guildhall, Arch 27, and the independent cafe Scripthaven into lively showcases of creativity.
“This creativity “takeover” of Worcester city centre, showcasing some of our talented young musicians and performers can be enjoyed free by everyone and we hope you will take the opportunity to come along.” - Laura Worsfold, CEO of Severn Arts.
Attendees can look forward to a lineup of performances by all Severn Arts music centre groups, orchestras, and bands, including the Soundabout Choir and Worcestershire Youth Jazz Orchestra.
In addition to musical performances, the Summer Festival will feature artwork from the Young Voices New Visions Exhibition at Guildhall and Pitch Up at Arch 27 and poetry readings by the Young Poet Laureate program's talents at Script Haven Cafe.
Solo and small group performances will be taking place throughout the day. Young visitors will also have the chance to explore the Severn Arts Music Box parked outside Arch 27, where they can experiment with cutting-edge music equipment.
Refreshments will be available to purchase from Coffee Nook.
“Around 300 musicians between the ages of 7 to 21 from the different groups will perform an eclectic selection of music throughout the day. Don’t miss this wonderful musical extravaganza!” - Ian Hattersley, Music Leader at Severn Arts
Admission to the Summer Festival is free and will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm - all are welcome to attend. For more information and updates, visit the website or follow Severn Arts on social media.
