The AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run is back, bigger and better than ever, on Sunday 4 May 2025.
Featuring a brilliant city-centre 10k and half marathon, it’s your chance to take part in an unforgettable event. Sign up today and be your greatest this year.
Starting in Centenary Square, runners will pass some of Birmingham’s most iconic landmarks and enjoy incredible local support all along the route, before a spectacular grandstand finish in Smithfield.
From the electric excitement at the start line to the rocking on-course music zones and an event village that feels more like an after-party, the atmosphere and spirit are uniquely Birmingham.
This is a run for everyone — all ages and abilities are welcome. Whether you’re just beginning your running journey or conquering your 50th half marathon, this event has something special for you. Whether you’re doing it to hit a fitness goal, achieve something amazing for charity, hear the cheers of thousands of supportive strangers, or simply for fun, take your place on the start line and experience it all for yourself.
You’re guaranteed a run like no other and a finish-line feeling you’ll never forget. It’s even sweeter knowing you’ve helped raise money for a worthy cause along the way! Last year’s event sold out in advance, so sign up today to secure your place on the start line!
New for 2025, the kids will take centre stage at Alexander Stadium on Super Saturday, the day before the AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run takes place.
With a city centre start and finish and the same distinctive carnival atmosphere as the main event, the AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run, Birmingham’s next generation of athletes will be off to a flying start. You can expect fancy dress, high-fives, and lots of local support from the local Brummie crowd!
This is an event that gets the whole family involved every year, with Minis aged 3-8 taking on a fun 1.5k dash, and Juniors aged 9-15 tackling the 2.5k challenge. It’s an incredible event atmosphere and all part of the iconic Great Birmingham Run weekend. Be part of it!
