Coventry Cathedral Chorus: The People's Prom

Featuring Samantha Oxborough (mezzo soprano), Luke Fitzgerals (organ), the Coventry Cathedral Chorus & Coventry and Warwickshire Youth Orchestra. Rachel Mahon and Joe Davies conduct.

The concert features a mixed programme of popular classics and light music, including Handel's Zadok The Priest, Bizet's Habanera (from Carmen), Gershwin's I Got Rhythm, Lennon/McCartney's Hey Jude & Penny Lane, Parry's Jerusalem and Elgar's Land of Hope and Glory.

Coventry Cathedral Chorus is one of the leading amateur choirs in the Midlands and features around 80 singers who come together to enjoy learning and performing choral music. Under the leadership of  Musical Director Rachel Mahon, the choir regularly give four concerts a year in Coventry Cathedral and other venues in across the Coventry area.
