Discover how Christmas was celebrated through the ages...

Avoncroft has decorated its historic homes in keeping with traditional practices of Christmas, through history. There's also tasty seasonal hot food and drinks available to purchase in the cosy tearooms, a graft fair under the historic beams in Guesten Hall, and the miniature railway runs on Sunday 8th December.

Visiting children can find the elves hidden around the site, or pick up a handmade Christmas Stocking on arrival in the Visitor Welcome centre - visit the historic Christmas homes as part of the Christmas Through Time trail, to see what you can collect to put in your stocking.

For an extra treat, book a visit with Santa in his grotto - and his trusty vintage Morris Minor GPO Van, from 1953. Santa tickets are likely to sell quickly, so book soon to avoid disappointment.
