A major solo exhibition by the multidisciplinary artist from Myanmar.

Htein Lin hails from Myanmar and has built his career as an artist around a lifelong commitment to documenting human experience in difficult times. 

This major solo exhibition features a comprehensive selection of paintings made by the artist on prison uniforms and found textile during six years spent as a political prisoner between 1998 and 2004. The Ikon display also includes drawings, sculpture and video, as well as a new, large-scale painting; created last year, Fiery Hell portrays the plight of Myanmar’s rural populations - including ethnic and religious minorities - who have found themselves caught up in the  country’s ongoing civil war.
