Eivind Gullberg Jensen (pictured) takes on the conducting duties for this celebration of great British music.

The concert begins with Dani Howard’s Argentum, written for the silver anniversary of Classic FM. This is then followed by Elgar’s short-but-sweet Elegy, Vaughan Williams’ inspiring The Lark Ascending, Britten’s famous Sea Interludes, and Anna Meredith’s Nautilus, a work inspired by ‘stomping along a beach in Scotland’.

The concert’s longest piece (at 35 minutes) is performed by violinist Guy Braunstein and combines The Beatles’ Abbey Road with the orchestra in a brand-new concerto, here receiving its UK debut.
