High Street Celebrations will be coming to Shropshire on 1 July, following a funding grant from Telford & Wrekin Council.

Newport Town Council will be welcoming residents to their high street for a fun, family-friendly celebration, running from 10am-4pm. Attendees can visit the shops and cafes and enjoy the crafts, stalls, face painting, bubble magic, balloon artist, Nova panto characters and more throughout the day.

High Street Celebrations funding grants will also enable other local town councils to host their own events. Announced so far are Madeley on 8 August and Wellington on 12 August, with dates for Oakengates and Ironbridge yet to be announced.
