Although routinely compared with The Smiths and Arctic Monkeys, Wigan four-piece The Lathums are securing their much-deserved place in the sun entirely on their own merit, garnering plenty of praise both for their studio-based output and their infectiously energetic live shows.

The indie rockers visit the Potteries in support of third album Matter Does Not Define, single releases from which attracted  significant critical acclaim last year.
