A brand new food and frink festival, Castle Food & Drink Fest, will make its debut in Newcastle-under-Lyme for this August Bank Holiday.
The event, held on the Ironmarket and High Street, promises a day filled with mouth watering street food, artisan markets, activities and crafts for children, food demonstrations, workshops and live music on Saturday 24 August.
Delivered as a collaboration between Newcastle-under-Lyme BID and Independent Street with support from Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, and Castle Food & Drink Fest is designed to celebrate the town’s growing food and drink scene.
Attendees can expect an array of food traders featuring an eclectic mix of cuisines, and an opportunity to learn about the origins of the food, meet the talented makers and bakers, and engage in enriching conversations with traders and the event team.
Plus there will be a mix of local artisan traders on site, including local artists, crafters, handmade artisan candles and hand created jewellery.
The festival promises a family-friendly atmosphere with plenty of activities to keep children entertained while parents explore the market, plus food and drink demos and workshops will cater to all ages.
