With Christmas fastapproaching, The Potteries Centre has announced its festive line up, bringing holiday cheer to visitors of all ages.
From the arrival of Christmas Quiet Hours to the opening of Claus’ Cabin, the celebrations promise to be magical and memorable.
The Claus’ Cabin is set to return on selected dates this festive season, including opening weekend on 23 & 24 November, and every day from 28 November up until 24 December. This enchanting experience offers children the chance to meet Santa, receive a special gift, and take home a personalised certificate - all for just £6. A portion of the proceeds will support Douglas Macmillan, a local charity dedicated to helping disadvantaged children and for added convenience, visitors are encouraged to pre-book their slots online.
Adding to the Christmas cheer, on the evening of Thursday 19 December, the Salvation Army Brass Band will fill the Centre with uplifting festive music from 5pm as part of their Christmas fundraising appeal. Shoppers can also enjoy late-night shopping on 19, 20 and 23 December with extended hours until 8pm, plus visit on Christmas Eve from 8am to 4pm for last-minute gifts.
Comic Con will also be returning to The Potteries Centre this festive season with the arrival of Christmas Comic Con Cracker. Get ready to experience the fun on Saturday 30 November and Sunday 1 December. Located opposite Pandora, the event will feature a selection of dedicated stalls inspired by the centre's popular Hanley Comic Con event.
Visitors can look forward to Mascot Meet & Greets on the 5 and 6 December, with two daily appearances from Santapool and the Grinch, alongside festive favourites such as Olaf, Winnie the Pooh, Mario, Luigi, and Sonic. Star Wars characters will also be attending with Santa hats to add that extra touch of Christmas magic.
And if you’d like to see who made Santa’s Nice List this Christmas, head down to The Potteries Centre from 23 November. Children who’ve been nominated can spot their names on the Nice List, revealed by Santa himself at the grand city centre arrival parade.
For those seeking a more peaceful shopping experience, The Potteries Centre will host Christmas Quiet Hours every Sunday morning from 10:30am to 11:30am, with lowered lighting and no music, offering a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
