October's Autumn programme is now on sale...

Stratford Literary Festival's Autumn Programme includes talks from Graeme Hall, Ben McIntyre, Vanessa Feltz, Donal Ryan, Danny Wallace, Harriet Walter, Anton du Beke and lots more.

Two bonus preliminary events take place on Tuesday 8 October: best-selling historian Dan Snow takes us on a journey through the history of England, and Jodi Picoult returns to Stratford to share her latest novel, with the controversial theme of the authorship of Shakespeare’s plays.

The main Festival weekend begins on Friday 25 October, with talks from Adrian Chiles, Jess Phillips, Baroness Dayeeda Warsi, and Anton Du Beke, to name a few.

Saturday's programme includes The Enchanted Cinema, 'A magical experience for children and parents alike', where participants use their voices, hands and play a range of ingenious instruments, creating sound effects to accompany excerpts from the enchanting animation, My Neighbour Totoro.

On Sunday 27 October, events include an interactive family event featuring the Teddy Bear Ladies, Julie Tatchell and Amanda Middleditch, best known as stars of the BBC’s The Repair Shop. Talks from Rev Richard Coles, Jonathan Dimbleby, Vanessa Feltz and Ashley John-Baptiste round out the day's events, and the festival cumlinates in a performance of Dylan Thomas' Under Milk Wood: A Radio Play, in a reconstructed 1950s radio theatre.
