An incredible sound and light show - on the train!

Brand new for 2025, join the Severn Valley Railway for a night to remember! It’s their 60th anniversary and Railway 200, so there's plenty of reasons to celebrate!

Suitable for all the family, the Boogie Lights Express is an incredible sound and light show, consisting of thousands of coloured LED lights and LED wristbands, creating a kaleidoscope of different colours and flashing patterns. This makes the steam train look magical both inside and out!

The journey features a soundtrack of iconic tunes spanning the 1960s to present day, including pop favourites from Queen, Michael Jackson, Rihanna and Taylor Swift, as well as sing-along cheesy classics and crowd-pleasing dance anthems.

Marvel at the ‘Canopy of Lights’ in every carriage, bringing the light show inside the train. Enjoy the fun, interactive show all while hosted by the legendary ‘Voiceover Man’ (as heard on Britain’s Got Talent and X-Factor); laugh with him (or at him) and compete against each other with the singalong “FlashyOke” game.

Be part of the show, with your very own LED wristband, adding to the magic on-board the train, and is yours to keep after the event. The LED wristbands, which synchronise with the music on board the train and the sparkling ‘canopy of lights’ in every carriage, means you’re part of the show, making it impossible to stay seated!

Important information:

• Trains depart from Kidderminster Station at 6.00pm or 8.00pm, the train ride lasting for approximately 70 minutes.
• Seating on the train is around tables of four in open carriages, therefore you may be sat at the table with other passengers if your booking is not made up of a multiple of four people.
• Passengers stay on the train throughout the experience.
• Wheelchair users must reserve a space on the train at the point of booking.
• The experience will include flashing lights and will be a noisy environment.
