Bewdley Museum is ready to burst into spring as from Saturday 4 March it’s back and fully open for business.
The museum has been a big part of Wyre Forest heritage and culture since 1972, offering the opportunity to step back into the town’s Georgian history and the area’s industrial past.
In 2023 there is something for visitors and residents alike. Family friendly events include a production of David Walliams’ Bad Dad, regular children’s craft activities, the annual Cherry Fair and an opportunity to find out what the Wyre Forest Romans got up to.
There’s a murder mystery evening, an outdoor theatre production of MacHamLear, paranormal goings on, a ghost walk and an unknown Pre-Raphaelite exhibition to be enjoyed.
Bewdley Museum is also joining national celebrations for King Charles III’s Coronation on Monday 8 May, there will be a patriotic performance by Bewdley Concert Band, set in the museum’s gardens.
The museum’s craftspeople are in action all year round, with a small group of artisans producing their wares under the distinct ‘Made in the Museum’ Bewdley, label.
The Shambles walkthrough, shop and Garden Kitchen café are already open and the events programme can be found at bewdleymuseum.co.uk, with new events getting added throughout the year.
