After-Dark Tours - The Commandery, Worcester, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 and 31 October
The Commandery is one of Worcester’s oldest buildings and a place that harbours lots of ghostly secrets for visitors to uncover.
Suitable for people aged 14-plus, the venue’s after-dark tours include tales of strange sightings and mysterious rumours, with your guide for the evening giving the history of the building a hair-raising Halloween twist.
Severn Valley Railway Ghost & Scream Trains - Severn Valley Railway, Worcestershire, 26, 30 - 31 October
Are you brave enough to ride the Ghost Train at Severn Valley Railway this Halloween?
Kickstart your fright night with tricks and treats for the whole family to enjoy at Kidderminster Station; then take your reserved seats and settle back to experience a ride out into the darkness.
Scary characters will join you on board, sneaking along the corridors of the train as it passes through haunted stations to Arley. The Ghost Train experience lasts for approximately 75 minutes and comes complete with a free goodie bag for every child.
Severn Valley Railway is also hosting a similar but ‘more fearsome’ event for older guests. The Scream Train is aimed at visitors aged 18-plus and features ‘petrifying ghouls’ who will be looking to scare the life out of commuters as they make their way to Arley.
Medieval Monster Trail - Sudeley Castle, Cheltenham, 25 October - 3 November
Explore the castle grounds with a mythical Medieval trail and encounter friendly Medieval Monsters as you wonder.
Everyday, five mystical medieval characters that will ignite your imagination, and leave you spellbound are waiting to be discovered along the interactive castle trail.
Join the fun by dressing up and taking part in a Medieval Monsters ball in Sudeley's Orangery before continuing the trail to discover the remains of a lost Medieval Village with a team of archaeologists from Dig Ventures along Sudeley's atmospheric Ha Ha.
Halloween pumpkin carving - Webbs Garden Centre, Wychbold, Droitwich Spa, 26 - 31 October
Little ones are invited to come dressed in their Halloween fancy dress to Webbs this half term and take part in a fun pumpkin carving activity.
Children will choose their own pumpkin, scoop it out and carve their own spooky design ready to be lit up at home. Pumpkins, tea lights and carving equipment will be provided on site.
Plus there will be a Bavarian Hut open throughout pumpkin carving, selling hot chocolate, pumpkin shortbread, mulled cider and mulled wine
Witch and Wizard School - Hartlebury Castle, 28 - 31 October
Enjoy Halloween half-term magic at Hartlebury's Witch and Wizard School.
Little ones can craft their very own wand and learn spells with Professor Bumbledum in historic Great Hall.
Also on site will be a Spooky Skeleton Trail around the castle, with Halloween costumes encouraged!
What’s more, each whole site admission ticket gets you a special £5 ticket for Outdoor Cinema on Halloween itself! Come back to the Castle to see Hocus Pocus, The Nightmare Before Christmas or both and celebrate the season with all the family.

Plus, a new feature for 2024, venture onto the Halloween-themed UV pumpkin trail that combines the eerie ambiance of pumpkins with ultraviolet lights.

Spetchley's Head Professor is calling all young witches and wizards to come to the rescue.
The school is being spooked by ghosts and they need wizarding students to learn ghost busting skills and put them into action. So grab your wands and broomsticks, put on your hats and cloaks and get ready for a wizarding adventure filled with potions. spells, charms classes and a ghost hunt.
Torchlit pumpkin walk - Bodenham Arboretum, Kidderminster, 25 - 31 October
Bodenham Arboretum's annual torchlit pumpkin walk is back for another year.
Enjoy a torchlit walk around the big pool and farmyard spotting the pumpkins and spooky scenes before finishing up on the terrace for more fun activities.
These include DJ Doug Up's 'Dynamic Disco!', a carved pumpkin competition, marshmallow toasting, and Halloween crafts and scary story time in the barns.
