Tattu, the modern Chinese restaurant group, have announced celebrations for Lunar New Year with showstopping specials and entertainment at their Birmingham restaurant.

From Friday 9 February, Lunar New Year, one of the biggest dates in the Asian cultural calendar, will see Tattu light up in an extravagant style celebrating the Year of the Dragon. Tattu have created a series of one off dishes for the occasion, with the intention of symbolising good luck, strength and health. The excitement will conclude with a Lantern Festival on Saturday 24 February, when Tattu Birmingham will invite Chinese Lion Dancers to close out the two weeks of jubilation. There will be both Lion dancers and DJs weaving around the restaurant floor, setting the vibe for an unforgettable evening.

Diners can expect to enjoy a variety of unique dishes on the Á La Carte menu including: the Pecking Duck Money Bag with hints of orange and chilli or the Smoked Mushroom Moneybag. Guests will also be able to sample an exclusive decadent dessert inspired by the zodiac animal, in honour of the celebrations. The Year Of Dragon will be made with a tasteful cashew butter fudge, honeycomb and marshmallow and will be served in a distinctive, beautifully decorated glass. Alongside the new menu items, diners will have the chance to try the Dragon's Breath cocktail with Bobby’s Gin, ODD Hibiscus, Lemongrass and Pomegranate, cementing Tattu’s status as the go to destination for theatrical mixology.

The Lunar New Year offerings will run from 9 February - Saturday 24 February, with the Lantern Festival taking place on 24 February. To book, visit: tattu.co.uk
