Shrewsbury festival LOOPFEST have announced that Goldie Lookin Chain will play St. Mary's Church on Friday 2 May 2025.
Straight out of Newport and best known for classics Guns Don’t Kill People Rappers Do and Your Mother’s Got A Penis, GLC are officially Britain’s biggest rap group featuring Maggot, Eggsy, Dwain Xain Zedong, Mike Balls, Adrian Fandango, 2hats, The Wibbler, Mystkal and Grayham The Bear.
Also announced are Coach Party playing Shrewsbury Castle on Friday 2 May. Girlband and Boom Boom Womb support.
Coach Party grew up on the Isle of Wight. Musically, Coach Party are inspired by a broad palate of artists, but always find themselves drawn back to Nirvana, Sonic Youth and The Strokes, and contemporary artists like Wolf Alice, The Big Moon and Tame Impala. Ultimately though, Coach Party’s primary drive to write and perform music comes from “the often entertaining struggle of real life.”
Tickets for both events are £22 but include a LOOPFEST wristband which gives you access to events across Shrewsbury over 3 & 4 May 2025. Think 200+ acts across 20+ venues in a beautiful town steeped in history. Tickets are on sale from 10am on Friday 6 September at loopfest.co.uk
