Principally taking place in the town’s Royal Pump Rooms from Friday 2 to Monday 5 May, the 2025 edition of the event commemorates the 150th anniversary of Maurice Ravel’s birth and the 50th anniversary of the death of fellow composer Arthur Bliss. Musicians performing at this year’s festival include Roderick Williams & Andrew West (pictured).


The festival features performances from Trio Shaham-Erez-Wallfisch, the Dominic Alldis TrioMark BebbingtonSinfonia of Birmingham and conductor Michael SealRoderick Williams and Andrew West, the Carducci String Quartet and Emma JohnsonDeniz Sensoy and Alessio Ennea, and the Sacconi String Quartet with Simon Callaghan. 

The festival welcomes old friends and new with programmes to offer something for everyone in the flagship four-day musical celebration over the Bank Holiday weekend.

There’s late-night jazz to bring a new element to proceedings and a new exhibitionMusical Colours, from Artist-in-Residence, Jane Williams, on display throughout the weekend to bring music and art together.
