It turns out pirates are pretty keen on underpants too, as evidenced by this stage adaptation of yet another of her publications. Theatre Severn’s legendary pantomime Dame, Brad Fitt, has written the show, which features a winning combination of ‘music, puppetry and glittering pants of gold’.

With a nomination for best kids’ show at this year’s Leicester Comedy Festival to recommend it, not to mention a clutch of five-star reviews trailing in its wake, Mr Sleepybum is a show well worth checking out. The title character is a fella who has ‘stupid, silly dreams’ at night - and he’s going to re-enact the whole lot of them for his sure-to-be-enthralled audience...
